My sister is an out of control alcoholic. She cannot work or take care of herself. She is a very smart educated woman but she has given up everything (her children, her family) for alcohol. She has been to detox many times and has attended several treatment programs but nothing helps. I suspect she also has an addiction to valium. We can't let her leave with us because she is too belligerant and destructive. I don't know what to do or where to turn. I wonder if you could offer me some advice.

I have search this issue and I was looking for help with my husband drinking problem.
I have contact every detox centre in this province with no help in getting a bed for him. We ahve call the elected official office with still no help.
At this point in time we have done everything in our power to help with his problm.
I heard about this service from a tv advetistment and was research this place.
My family needs help. |

| I called in hopes of finding help for my sister. What I found was an extremely caring man who helped me with info I need and some peace of mind knowing I'm doing the right thing for my sister even though she will hate me for a while for doing this.I am going to do all I can to fund what I can to help her to help herself before she ends up dead. I love her completely and want the best for her. Thank you for your help and understanding. |

I have had the opportunity to spend time in the company of most of these people at the Crosbie House Society. I truly beleive that my life was saved by these people and all that they taught me during my stay while the program was being run in Kentville.
I have the highest regard for them and all that they accomplish.
